About

Second Life is a vast and wonderful place with amazing and beautiful creations.  Unfortunately, finding the best quality items and destinations can take up substantial amounts of time and effort making it a bit of a buzzkill when you want to get a move on or get your groove on!

The best way to use the site is to go to the Home tab and search freely, or select a category you are interested in.  I will only post places or items that I would use or go to myself.  Eventually, Top 10 lists in different categories will be posted here as well to make an easy to use reference.  Less time searching…more time having fun!

But hey, KEEP ME BUSY!  If you feel I should review a place or an item, leave a comment with the sim’s, store’s or item’s name along with the slurl or drop a notecard on me in SL.  If I agree then I’ll place it here.  If not, well then….you just won’t see it.  Cuz one thing this site won’t be is a snarky review site shooting down the dreams and efforts of others.  We all grow in SL and I’ve seen creators blossom over time.  Those who I choose not to list today may be tomorrow’s top pick! If you would like your store or item reviewed and wish to pass on a sample for me to review, feel free to do so.  But keep in mind that this does not guarantee you a listing on the site.  And for the record, no photoshopping of the pics is ever done for this blog.  Firstly, I don’t know how.  Secondly, I want you to see the items untouched.

For those interested, I’ve started a Metaverse Guide group inworld.  I hope to have group explorations of the most interesting sims and clubs that are amazing…but a bit overlooked.  The underdogs who deserve a second look in Second Life.

This is just a start.  I hope to continue to grow this guide out of my own explorations, and maybe with the input of others as well.  Lets see where this goes!

Barbarella

Barbarella Noel has been in Second Life for over 2 years.  She first entered expecting a traditional MMORPG such as The Sims.  Much to her surprise, she found a rich, creative, complex, and interactive world full of amazing creations and fascinating people.

Her experiences include working as the Chief Marketing Officer for Brightfield Virtual, a Second Life/real world development company.  She has also been a co-owner of Phat Cat’s Jazz Club in Second Life.

You often can find her wandering the virtual world wide eyed and mouth agape in wonderment at what she sees as she scouts out the pixel hills and valleys in search of the best that Second Life has to offer.
